So I'm trying to find a way of being able to get myself to BronyCon NY this summer. Wouldn't be much of an issue though if I had a working car (the convention center is only about a 2 hour drive) But without a car I would need to rely on my Sister's Boyfriend, which in turn would include her (we all love ponies so it works out). We all want to go, but our biggest issue is being unemployed. Any ideas on what we can do to afford going?

I guess a lot of it depends on what you are planning to do there, if you plan on driving there and back each day of the event, and whether you want to spend money while you are there for items, autographs, etc. If you can sell some things with which you are willing to part, that might help. You've got it easier than me, the weekend will probably cost, for myself alone, 500 dollars minimum, primarily due to lodging and travel costs.
